Rules of Transposition 2 using Syah's Rules

Last post, I've shared rules of transposition of minus cyl form to plus cyl form or vise versa. This time, I would like to share rules of transposition of spherical form to spherocyl form (-ve cyl and +ve cyl). By using these rules, you do not need to draw the cross-line diagram.

I start with spherical form to spherocyl form (-ve cyl form)

Use the example below;
     1)  -2.00DS x 90
     2) -2.25DS x 180

Syah's Rules
  1. Choose the more plus Rx as a spherical component. = -2.00DS
  2. Find the different between the more plus Rx 1) and the least plus Rx 2) as a cylindrical component = 0.25 D
  3. Choose axis of  the least plus Rx as an axis = 180
Now, I will explain how to transfer the obtained information  in the written spherocyl form (-ve cyl)

  1. Choose the more plus Rx as a spherical component. write as -2.00DS
  2. Write as slash after the spherical component = -2.00DS/
  3. Put -ve sign after the slash = -2.00DS/-
  4. Find the different between the more plus Rx 1) and the least plus Rx 2) as a cylindrical component = -2.00DS/-0.25DC
  5. Choose axis of  the least plus Rx as an axis = -2.00DS/-0.25DCx180
Taraa..we get the correct answer..


Now, Let's explore spherical form to spherocyl form (+ve cyl form) using the same example
 
Syah's Rules
  1. Choose the least plus Rx as a spherical component. = -2.25DS
  2. Find the different between the more plus Rx 1) and the least plus Rx 2) as a cylindrical component = 0.25 D
  3. Choose axis of  the more plus Rx as an axis = 90

Lets transfer the obtained information to spherocyl form (+ve cyl)
  1. Choose the more plus Rx as a spherical component. write as -2.25DS
  2. Write as slash after the spherical component = -2.25DS/
  3. Put +ve sign after the slash = -2.25DS/+
  4. Find the different between the more plus Rx 1) and the least plus Rx 2) as a cylindrical component = -2.25DS/+0.25DC
  5. Choose axis of  the more plus Rx as an axis = -2.25DS/+0.25DCx90
   Yeeza...Finally, we obtain the answer...So easy dude..
